8th SCOI International Congress

On May 30-31, 2025, the Palacio de Congresos de Tarragona in Spain will host the 8th SCOI International Congress, a key event for professionals in implantology and oral surgery.

Our ambassador, Dr. Simone Marconcini, renowned oral surgeon and implantologist, will address a crucial topic for the success of implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation: "How to recover naturally sealed tissues in implantology?"

In the field of implantology, the short- and long-term success of implant-supported rehabilitation depends as much on mucointegration (the integration of the cervical part of the implant within the soft tissue) as on osseointegration (direct contact between the implant and the surrounding bone).

Soft tissues play a critical role from the very first surgical procedure. They form an essential barrier to protect the underlying bone while helping to recreate a natural appearance. Thanks to past research and recent publications, we have gained a better understanding of the importance of biological width and the role of soft tissues in implant success.
